Forget what some are saying about transplants. They are too hard headed to lookup "can I change my vote?". They'll just transplant somewhere else. They don't give a shit about North Dakota.
But North Dakota Democrats, who are barely Democrats compared to nationally, are freaking out at Biden's energy comments.
ND is their home, and it turning into a northern plains version of Youngstown doesn't sound appetizing. It's hard to squeeze taxes out of poor people hooked on opioids.
My favorite "based" actors:
Adam Baldwin (mostly TV, Serenity/Firefly, Chuck, Full Metal Jacket) James Woods Tim Allen Adam Sandler and his crew (those movies are hit and miss) Stallone Tom Selleck Bruce Willis (The media said he said Trump would be a "1 term president". They often didn't include "if he abandons his base and comes after our guns") Most other Action Movie actors including CHUCK FREAKING NORRIS Terry Crews Clint Eastwood Kelsey Grammer (As a former Submariner, Down Periscope is probably the most realistic submarine movie made since Das Boot, and of course Frasier was a great Sitcom)
Basically most older male actors that seem to flaunt their masculinity tend to be based.
Younger actors? Career is over if they don't keep their mouths shut. So, it's hard to tell. But it is very likely Chris Pratt is. I think Dwayne Johnson was, but he sold out and made that cringe-worthy video. He might personally vote for Trump (probably), but any guy that would do that just to stay on the money train, I have no respect for. He didn't even have to do it. They would not have kicked him off the money train for just being quiet. He makes them too much money.
Might be able to add Vin Diesel, as he consistently avoids talking about Trump (usually a sign of a closet supporter in Hollywood). On this list he is the only one I have personally met. We sat next to each other on an airplane from ORD to LAX. I don't know if he was nervous flying or what it was but very talkative, to the point it was annoying. It was in late 2002 or early 2003, and I suppose he might be based, but he also sounded somewhat unintelligent to me. But very nice.
And that's not even the many actresses who are probably pro-Trump or have said so. It's likely Hollywood is heavy Democrat, but still a sizeable percentage Republican and MAGA. But if you are MAGA, and you aren't big enough or have already been successful enough, admitting it just means ending your career. Because the people in charge of Hollywood are 100% anti-MAGA.
I wouldn't go that far. You can be a Christian but still sin. You can be a Christian and still be a moron. You can be a Christian and still not actively worship with other Christians.
You can be saved but still choose to be blind about a lot of things.
My point is that Denzel Washington, by his actions and things he has said, is someone that actively immerses himself in his faith. I'm not a fan of the Pentecostals personally, but they are very strong in their faith and are true Christians. A person active in that sect of Protestantism might could be a Democrat in the past when politics were less in our faces, but certainly not now.
unpopular opinion can sometimes reveal the sane side of Reddit. It's not that everyone on Reddit is a raging leftist lunatic, it's that the lunatics are in charge and try to silence anyone with a different viewpoint. It gives a false impression that majority opinions are actually unpopular.
Yeah Lou can get pretty fired up sometimes. You're right, the time for getting rid of bad Republicans is in the primaries, not when it's them vs some sleazeball Democrat.
I'm afraid Lou can be as passionate about all of this as a lot of us around here get sometimes. He even pops into the comment section over at the conservative treehouse once in a while, so not your typical TV guy. He wants perp walks and probably a few helicopters.
It can be easy to lose sight of the bigger picture when dealing with a guy like Graham, but we've got to stay focused when it comes to elections.
If it is a clear landslide victory, which I think it could be, there is a chance they will cry but not really do anything. If it's at all close, there will be all kinds of "protesting". Especially if there are contested elections and ballot issues.
But in a clear landslide, I do not see any political reason to gin up another round of riots and the like. And make no mistake, these people don't go "protest" on their own. They're goaded into doing it by the political forces that control them.
And those forces will need their army of idiots ready to go when Trump gets to swamp draining.
That one, the one thanking Harry Reid, and this little gem:
*Schumer should have stripped naked and ran around the Senate chamber to delay the vote he is not putting forth any effort he needs to go"
Have GOT to be Pedes lol.
Thomas is the one Justice I would hate to see go. He's a giant when it comes to legal minds, and I really want him to be around for a while as Trump's 3 picks develop under his example.
He is only 72, younger than President Trump, and apparently in good health.
Denzel has only been known to support Democrats but not very vocally, and doesn't really participate in political rhetoric or attack anyone. His faith seems to be his highest priority.
I suppose it's possible, for reasons of faith alone, he might have given up on Democrats now. I have a hard time seeing how a devout pentecostal could overlook the total amoral direction the Democrats have taken.
But political affiliations can be deep seated in some people.
It seems like for every one of these creeps, there's a hundred stories from "locals" and the like who "knew what was going on", and I just gotta ask...why didn't anyone say anything? How the heck did these guys keep getting voted in? There's no way you can pay off a whole town.
And it always seems to be Democrats. The moment a Republican gets caught looking at a Victoria's Secret catalogue he has to step down from office for it.
Constitutional Representative Republic is even more precise. We do not directly vote for things. We vote for representatives to carry our will to the Capital to vote on things.
The only time we engage in direct democracy is initiatives on the ballot in states. And we've seen how well that works.
