Well that, and I think the whole "two movies" or "two realities" concept that Scott Adams likes to push is very close to the truth. It's actually very similar (if not the same) to how cults work.
If a person is psychologically conditioned enough to see reality a certain way, then that is what they will see, no matter what the actual reality is.
Now I think Adams has gone too far and claimed that we on the "right" somehow see our own version of reality, but there really is no basis for that argument, because we aren't subjected to psychological conditioning constantly to see a right-leaning viewpoint like we and everyone else are subjected to a leftist viewpoint.
We've merely at some point or another stopped (or never did) seeing that projected reality. And further proof to that is that all of us under the whole MAGA banner have some pretty diverse views on specific things. That does not lend any credence to the idea we are drinking a different flavored koolaid. We are merely seeing what our "lying" eyes are telling us.
The leftists don't see or accept anything that deviates from what they want to see however, and thus "are watching a different movie".
I don't know too many people that believe Mexicans that come here are lazy. Clearly they aren't, as they'll do just about any lousy job for money. And there's no question they have strong family values.
But they also don't respect law and order. It doesn't help that many of them don't even know what law and order looks like, since most of northern Mexico is basically rival cartel territories. Many are raised with the idea that if you can get away with something, then it isn't wrong.
I don't call that "based".
But yes, obviously, the best thing for the US when it comes to our neighbors is that our neighbors become good, stable, and prosperous. It prevents their problems spilling over our borders.
Mexico is going to take a major drug war to fix. And I am not talking a "war on drugs". I am talking a no-prisoners, no-deals, complete eradication war on the Cartels. They should be treated the same as Trump treated ISIS.
You are.
Why this is important is because state AGs or local prosecutors can't just decline to press charges now. The feds do, which means if anyone is caught doing it, it won't just go away the same way a lot of crimes have been lately in democrat controlled jurisdictions.
It's now less likely that someone will take the chance. However, the most likely fraud is still paper ballots and fraudulent voters.
Players from Favre's generation weren't like these whiny self-entitled sportsball players we have today.
And I think a major reason for it is all of the critical race theory garbage pushed at the college level now. All of these guys are being indoctrinated with that stuff now during their college career. By the time they get to the Pro level, they have an artificial chip on their shoulder.
Yeah I felt a slight emotional tug at that one, thinking these are probably Cuban-Americans.
Same way I did when I ran into this group of defected North Koreans all wearing MAGA hats touring DC.
Like...these are people who actually understand what freedom is, because they are at least aware of what it's like to not have it.
Well, a lot of the "Mexicans" that were coming here weren't actually Mexican. And those that are would probably have a better shot at jobs back home if their own country wasn't being flooded with illegals.
It's a cascading effect.
The Democrats went too far left. It's scaring a lot of people, but especially scaring groups, like Cubans, who have a recent enough experience living under Marxism.
Maybe in a lot of previous elections it wasn't a factor, but I can imagine plenty of parents and grandparents having words with their voting aged kids about just what the Democrats are becoming.
Yeah once he gave up control of it, it just became a valuable commodity for the Left to take over. It was already happening after Trump won the GOP nomination.
Another side of looking at it is, Drudge would have a pretty tough time even now if he was running things. Prior to the 2016 election, there was enough diversity still in journalism to at least give a balanced aggregate of interesting news.
After that and into the present, it has been almost all news is about Trump somehow, and nearly all of that negative. He's have a pretty empty page unless he just went with lesser known partisan right websites.
Journalism is at its possible worst in this country now.
Nah, it's dementia or advanced senility. If you see the way he used to talk, even just 10 years ago, it's night and day difference. He used to ad lib lies with the best slimy politicians.
Before now it was just that he was extremely gaff prone. As in, he would say things that he shouldn't have. Now, he can barely get a coherent sentence out to even make a proper gaff. I mean, he's still managed a few pretty bad gaffs this year, but for the most part he just looks confused and lost all of the time.
I'm not saying he's not stupid, there's plenty of evidence he is going all the way back to the start of his career. But he's definitely not firing on all cylinders now.
In most states it isn't illegal to not report a crime. Most mandatory reporting laws only apply to certain professionals, such as doctors or social workers.
Knowledge of heinous crimes such as murder or rape or crimes against children are exceptions in some states. You would have to look at Delaware law, or whichever state applies here.
Any active attempt to cover up a crime changes things immensely and Biden might be guilty of that. In any case, knowing about it should disqualify him from holding any office and warrant a full investigation.
I'll give up on Barr when the President does. Just like I gave up on Sessions when the President did.
Because I have no idea what Trump or his administration has planned at any given moment. And neither do his enemies. And I also very much believe the business of draining the swamp has to wait until after the election business is over.
I also think Trump is a genius who doesn't get fooled very easily, and it seems to me that assuming anyone he appoints who doesn't immediately go gangbusters "must be a rat" is pretty much questioning Trump's judge of character, which I am not prepared to do. I actually admire his instincts in that area and it is a large part of what made him successful in the first place.
I would say from a purely strategic perspective, after Sessions, I would have chosen an AG that has a demonstrable desire to root out corruption but I would reign him in until I was ready to attack while he collected as much evidence as possible.
I would also replace Comey, who was an active threat, with someone completely lame and not a threat as a placeholder until I was ready to install a real FBI director to do the hard work of swamp draining.
Timing is important. Keeping the actual threats (and not the media-created threats) at bay while getting some really important things out of the way first seems to me to be a sound strategy. And no, the impeachment was not a threat. It was a circus act, and everyone sees it as a circus act. The Democrats have barely mentioned it at all this year, because it was an embarrassment for them, not for Trump.
They might as well call it Term 2: The Donald Strikes Back, because I think that is all his second term will be focused on.
So? He still wins. No matter what they do, he still wins. The media is like Wyle E. Coyote and he is the Roadrunner at this point.
They always manage to get caught in their own trap and Trump gets off scott free. Sure, that's not the way the Coyote is gonna tell it, but that is why they never learn. They can't accept the reality that the President has had them by the nuts for years.
And they can only chop things so much, so he gets the advantage of sliding in some salient points on their own shows to their own reeeeing viewers, shitposting on Primetime. It's not like their viewers are going to care what is actually said, they've already formed an insulated opinion.
I don't believe there is a literal "satanic pedophile cult". What I do believe is some of the disturbing proclivities among the wealthy Roman elite are repeating among our modern "elite".
Occultist rituals and the like (which none of them actually take seriously) involving blood and sex are as accepted and embraced as the disturbing modern "art" they hang on their walls. The more bizarre, taboo, and amoral the better.
Because to them, they are like gods on Earth. And the rest of us aren't even human beings to them. Which is why they can lie, cheat, steal, rape, and murder at the levels they do and not even feel a flicker of shame about it.
The molestation and rape of children is merely satiating their power trip to them, not some innate desire for children. They'd likely be just as willing to rape anyone if they could get away with it. And they don't worship Satan (not on purpose anyways), they worship themselves.
So yes, any kid growing up in that atmosphere, where wealth and power and "respectability" are tied to wantonly amoral and evil behavior would be warped indeed.
More like some of the rats might realize it's ship jumping time. They know they cannot survive another 4 years of Trump. That is why 2020 has been so insane. They know the President's entire focus in a second term has always been to "drain the swamp". It's the entire reason why Trump ran in the first place. He knows what the cause of all of the problems he had to fix is, and he knows it will all just revert back unless he roots out the corruption itself.
You can treat symptoms up front to buy the patient more time, but ultimately you have to remove the cancer to save their life. The deep state is the cancer. President Trump is going into surgeon mode in term 2, and they know it.
Well, that's plausible, even likely. It all depends on who in the FBI knew about the laptop and when did they know it. And it is likely that the upper echelon knew about it nearly as soon as they got it and it was verified a long time ago.
But the FBI saying it is real and then saying they misunderstood what they had is them covering their butts. In other words, they've been forced to say so, and in doing so are really destroying the "Fake Russian laptop" narrative.
Which is a win for us.
There is a nearly ZERO chance she will be anywhere close to stepping foot on Mars.
No mission to Mars is going to have anyone under the age of 30, and likely not under 40. They aren't going to go through all of that expense to send anyone but top scientists, engineers, and military flight experienced personnel.
She'll have to go through the same laborious route any astronaut does, and probably more, to get all of the credentials and experience to even be considered for something even actual astronauts will be turned down for. And by then, we will have been to Mars already.
This is a PR stunt and nothing more. She's a mascot.
