On a prior day, someone compared Covid-19 to a Zombie Virus. Claiming in their feeble attempt at public shaming that if it were a zombie viruses the people who pay attention to the actual statistics and actual government statements would be claiming it doesn't exist.

Let us weave a scenario to understand how absurd the Covid-19 response is. There is a zombie outbreak caused by a mutagenic virus that does a slew of fancy science stuff to render you into a hyper-aggressive, cannibalistic infected that transmits the virus through bodily fluids and temporarily through the air around you.

At first, the government begins sterilizing everything in order to slow the spread of the disease until their experts determine that in fact, the chance of turning from surface contact is so minuscule that the chemical burns, they're giving people are causing a greater health crisis so they order the practice to no longer be mandatory.

After several months with an apocalyptic projection of millions turned within months, the tally reveals most people are surprisingly resistant to the virus. In fact, only those with prior health complications and the immunal compromised seem to be turning into infected with most contracting the disease without even being aware they have it before their body develop an immunity.

Later it turns out the hospitals were cooking their numbers to get government money and to allow politicians to carry power grabs while using the pandemic as a cover. You're in a city where the survival rate is 99.98 percent. In fact, you are rather sure you already had it as you remember feeling horrible and having a craving for meat at one point but got better a few days later.

The Government announces they're going to nuke your city despite containment efforts being 100% effective provided even with people out mass protesting and causing a ruckus. Quickly the United Nations steps in and says that utilizing nuclear weapons will kill more people than just allowing normal containment measures to go through, that we're close to herd immunity anyway.

The World Health Organization tells the United States government that the use of Nuclear Weapons is one of the worse ideas they've ever come up with and will be a disaster. That they should in no uncertain terms, not use nuclear weapons to contain this virus.

Your dipshit governor with their media cronies claiming the outbreak is uncontainable. Sending confusion through your entire city as you haven't seen an actual turned in months. That the only option is to nuke the city to purge the virus from existence and halt the spread.

Half your city protests claiming that you clearly aren't all infected and the deaths and instances of people turning have dropped off. The hospitals are so underwhelmed they're laying off staff and trying to deal with the surplus resources they purchased to ward off this pandemic.

All of you are called conspiracy theorists and told you don't know what you're talking about. The upper-middle class and wealthy white douchebags are telling you that it is for your own good to be nuked as they don't view it impacting them. After all they will still be well off after the cloud goes up and have even stocked up on radiation medications and paid for insurance to come and scrub their house of any pesky fallout.

The government nukes your area. The economy collapses. Suddenly everyone is shocked that using a nuclear weapon was a far worse option than just letting things take their course. The media continues to gaslight saying more nuclear weapons are required a sentiment echoed by China who is benefiting from the United States destroying itself. Sweden has eliminated the virus from their nation at this point.

Bonus issue during the outbreak over 100 medications already in existence prove capable of treating the disease and new medications have rolled out at lighting speed that nearly guarantee you won't turn and will get better.
