This right here. I'm ashamed to say I wanted my daughter aborted. Not because I didn't want kids but because her mother and I were sharing a studio apartment and never planned for it. She and her christian father were very adamant on her having the child and of course I had no real say in the matter. But 8 months later when I held her in my hands everything made sense. My life had purpose and from then on I've lived my life valuing hers over my very own. I would fucking die for my babies. And that is no exaggeration.
It was a greatly humbling experience to realize how much of a selfish prick I would have been to deny my little girl her right to live. Just so I could live my life with more financial freedom. And to see so many people make that decision to kill their children knowing what I know now breaks my heart. I feel for them. I thought the same and could have sworn I was making the right decision. But if I had gotten my way i would have never become the person I am today I would still be that stupid arrogant jackass who never thought about anything other than his own self satisfaction. I've come to learn its OK to admit you're wrong. So many of us have a problem with being a "hypocrite" and as a result dig our heels in but damn is it liberating to admit that you don't have all the answers. And I can't wait to learn more about this crazy experience we call life and I can't wait to share what I have learned with my children. I love you all, God bless!
