Science is about models. That's true in all fields.
And all scientific models must make falsifiable predictions. All of them. It's is the most fundamental aspect of science.
If a model does not make falsifiable predictions, it's not science.
What that means is that if the model is wrong, it's possible to prove it by comparing predictions made by the model with reality.
And anybody is allowed to test it. It's not restricted to "experts".
One of the earliest boycotts I decided to make was against Target Australia, for deciding to remove GTA5 because they discovered it was possible to murder prostitutes in it.
I still haven't bought anything from them since.
