In theory you can stick USB drive into the voting machine, download data, go to your laptop, upload the data to a remote server, download executable instructions from the server, go back to the machine, stick the drive in, let an auto-loader in the machine to pick up the code from the drive and run it to adjust the results as deemed necessary by the server.
