Been watching the Stars since 98 when my dad took me to a game at Reunion Arena. We smashed the Avalanche. I was hooked. Watched obsessively for the past ~22 years. Stopped watching the moment they knelt in protest last year during the National Anthem. A total disgrace. I haven't watched NHL or even looked at scores since that moment.
I do miss it, but my love for this country far outweighs my commitment to the Stars. Wish they had never gone woke, but I flat out refuse to accept disrespect of the country over a non-issue.

Unfortunately none of them truly know why they're there. They were told "you're deploying to DC, be at X at Y time" and that's that. Probably given specific assignments once they arrived i.e., "patrol this area and report anything suspicious"
