I mean swiss political class suffers from xenophilia at inane levels. Hence the "no border policy". But it doesn't stop at borders. They want to import "syrian refugees" and what not, real or fake, because they believe there are not enough of them in the country.
And if you're an alien in Switzerland, authorities are bound to provide you food and shelter and what not whatever the cost on taxpayer's dime. Some of them ended in luxury resorts simply because there was no room available anywhere.

The only thing preventing Switzerland to crumble through mass immigration is that the country is expensive to live in, and that there are more welcoming alternatives around in terms of welfare (typically Germany) or work (typically UK).
Ah also Switzerland was among the first countries to accept the muslim-based, mafia-driven "country" of Kosovo due to the pressure of Kosovar immigrants installed here, and also, of course, because of the general cowardice of local politicians.
You can't imagine how erect the local political class can be when considering officially joining the EU.
Basically, every media, politician, academic, teacher and their dog want to join. The people don't want to, but as it stands now Switzerland is almost already an EU member. They design "EU-compatible laws" and strictly follow any instruction from Brussels.
I think he might be jailed within hours after the 20th for whatever reason (at this point media probably would barely care to report it), and we won't hear from him again.
