Considering there was a factory in northern Italy owned by the Chinese that imported workers from Wuhan and the lefty government encouraged Italians to find a Chinese person to hug....No I'm not surprised at all Goomba.
The type of preparation required for something like this is no different from the preparation that should be done by everyone if Covid19 never existed. People feel like this is a scythe that will cut through the population due mostly to the fear of the virus. You cannot contain an infectious disease like this in the same way you cannot contain the flu. We know who is at risk and we have the power to take precautions for those people who are at risk. When this is all said and done, I'd be willing to bet you that the majority of damage wrought will be caused by the fear that was stoked by the media. It's not that we aren't taking this seriously, it's that the actual data does not warrant the vast majority of the fear mongering taking place. This needs to be countered.
What percentage of people need to get it before we call it a pandemic? More than .00001%, which is currently where we are. The Spanish flu infected 25% of the world. That was rightfully called a pandemic. .00001% of the world is not even close to a pandemic, unless of course you're a media hack trying to stoke panic for clicks. That 3% dying figure? Also bullshit considering all the people that catch it and recover without being tested are ignored out of that number. You think you know what you're talking about, but you're really just a fucking idiot that reads headlines with no ability to critically think whatsoever. You belong on Reddit with the rest of the mouth breathing losers that have a sub room temp iq.
Oh wow, if Germany called it a pandemic then it must be so amiright?
Merriam-Webster definition of Pandemic: Occurring over a wide geographic area and affecting an exceptionally high proportion of the population
Do you actually think that "an exceptionally high proportion of the population" is effected by this virus?
The fact is the overwhelming majority of people that get this virus will recover from it without ever knowing they contracted it. Stop stoking fear like a retard.
That high school drop out literally said she could see the co2 in the air. Apparently no one ever told her that humans exhale co2 at a rate of about 40,000 ppm, so she should be seeing smoke stacks coming out of everyone’s mouths. We’re the anti science crowd though amiright?
It was almost certainly due to Super Tuesday and was 100% going to happen before the election no matter what. Which is the main reason we should have burned that fucker down while we had the opportunity. At least cringeanarchy went out like Chads. We've had to watch that place wither away from cancer for years now.
Yeah, here are a couple more stories about his cognitive abilities.
Paul Halmos recounts a story told by Nicholas Metropolis, concerning the speed of von Neumann's calculations, when somebody asked von Neumann to solve the famous fly puzzle:
Two bicyclists start 20 miles apart and head toward each other, each going at a steady rate of 10 mph. At the same time a fly that travels at a steady 15 mph starts from the front wheel of the southbound bicycle and flies to the front wheel of the northbound one, then turns around and flies to the front wheel of the southbound one again, and continues in this manner till he is crushed between the two front wheels. Question: what total distance did the fly cover? The slow way to find the answer is to calculate what distance the fly covers on the first, southbound, leg of the trip, then on the second, northbound, leg, then on the third, etc., etc., and, finally, to sum the infinite series so obtained.
The quick way is to observe that the bicycles meet exactly one hour after their start, so that the fly had just an hour for his travels; the answer must therefore be 15 miles.
When the question was put to von Neumann, he solved it in an instant, and thereby disappointed the questioner: "Oh, you must have heard the trick before!" "What trick?" asked von Neumann, "All I did was sum the geometric series."
Then another:
One of his remarkable abilities was his power of absolute recall. As far as I could tell, von Neumann was able on once reading a book or article to quote it back verbatim; moreover, he could do it years later without hesitation. He could also translate it at no diminution in speed from its original language into English. On one occasion I tested his ability by asking him to tell me how A Tale of Two Cities started. Whereupon, without any pause, he immediately began to recite the first chapter and continued until asked to stop after about ten or fifteen minutes.
And another:
Von Neumann was reportedly able to memorize the pages of telephone directories. He entertained friends by asking them to randomly call out page numbers; he then recited the names, addresses and numbers therein.
Fucking ridiculous.
She'll be fine just like more than 99% of everyone else. Be worried about Macron's wife since she's 120 years old if she gets infected.
