The CDCs own estimate for mortality for the average population under 70 is 0.18%, which isn’t that much more than seasonal flu, again, this is CDC’s own mortality model.
I have looked at total deaths, and no there isn’t a massive increase from prior years, that simply isn’t present.
Furthermore there are prior flu seasons where deaths per capita caused from the flu were comparable to even this year’s inflated covid numbers. Look at 1958 and 1967 in particular.
I’ve have multiple close family members who have tested positive and we’re fine after two days of cold like symptoms.
