There are people who have done terrible things on both sides of the political spectrum. However, we are living in a time where peoples minds are poisoned and cannot accept that others can have a different view, idea, or belief. I know plenty of democrats and have no issue socializing with them. I understand that they have walked a different path than I have and what the democrats are selling is what they want. I even worked with a communist and he admitted it proudly, we would discuss political stuff all the time. We were mature enough to understand that we have had different experiences in life, therefor, have different views. Once people stop acting like children and can have actual discussions about ideas, we will have healed as a nation.
I use syncthing to keep all of my files in sync with each other. I would imagine we could do the same thing with hosting and the backend. I could also be totally wrong, so take it with a grain of salt. I was thinking of a forum like this one or a BBS like what people used to telnet into that would be distributed among thousands of nodes on something like a recycled computer or even a raspberry pi. This is a mass oversimplification, but I imagine it could work.

No, people need to grow up and understand that everyone has had different experiences in life. Those experiences shape a person’s views, which alter their beliefs. Division is the easy lazy way, if we divide, it will only be a mater of time before we divide again.
