Seems you have found yourself in a great teaching moment. Use this opportunity to discuss things like the founding principals of our nation and the Constitution. Students can learn all about the bill of rights and property ownership and how that applies in this scenario. They will also have a greater understanding of opposing view points and tolerance. It will be a learning opportunity for everyone.
