You could always go with what ammo is available first and pick a gun based on that. People picked AR15s and 9mm pistols because ammo is cheap and plentiful (normally) but the trade-off is that everyone has a gun that shoots it and is looking for .223/5.56 and 9mm and they sell out.

I picked up an AR10 from PSA a while ago on sale for ~$700-750 and you can still get one now for $850. It uses .308 Win which is a more appropriate (close to same speed but 2x-3x bullet mass vs .223) round for deer hunting. I was able to go out and grab some extra hunting ammo a couple weeks ago. Stock was still good and price wasn't too inflated.

Yeah, that's true for fists but in this case he used a hard chunk of "the ground" to hit him, so it's anybody's guess.

Culturally, women set the rules for the game men compete in through mate selection.

When the best women choose the best men based on a set of criteria, men notice and try to achieve dominance over other men in those aspects.

This is true. You're still allowed to defend yourself even if you've started a verbal altercation. Someone saying something mean isn't justification to kill them. If someone escalates it and pulls a weapon on you, you can still defend yourself.

It's added justification that Kyle tried his hardest to disengage and the other person pursued him.

People can live through crazy shit. I saw one where an old guy out hunting in Alaska got mauled by a bear and his face was hanging off of him. He was still coherent and talking and held on to the snowmobile as his son drove him back in to town.

NSFL obviously... they did a pretty amazing job putting him back together too. httpss://twitter.com/GGTeleVision/status/1243564982194896902?s=09

People also die from getting sucker punched and hitting their head on the curb.

Ideally he will come from the angle of:

we need Democrat mayor's to support the police and do what needs to be done to ensure safety for law abiding citizens in their cities. Call in the national guard and seek federal support if needed. That way people like Kyle aren't put in a position that they feel like they need to step in and ensure peace because our peace officers are told to stand down.

Wisconsin kills ~100,000 deer on opening weekend alone.

There's also something to be said for being able to pull the trigger under pressure and do so accurately. If you've never been hunting, there's a huge spike of adrenaline and other emotions the first time you find yourself in a position to make a shot. It's usually sudden and you're unsure of what to do and most people freeze in uncertainty. My first day hunting as a teenager I had it happen with a deer looking up at me. My wife had the same thing happen her first opportunity.

There were bigger and older men with more kit with him in the videos. The difference was that it looks like he drew their attention because they thought they could get away with picking on him. The thing about rifles though is they're the great equalizer. You don't need to be the biggest most buff guy around to carry 10lbs or pull a trigger.

And why should we take someone else's valuation over their own?

Some would Argue that having competent legal representation and better quality medical care than someone without $2 million to spare would make your life better

Flawless take on the matter. It's frankly perfect.

He has collected ALL of the relevant video clips and images and covers the legal aspect of it too. This is the number 1 link for me now if I've got to point someone to "whats the deal with the guy who shot 'protestors'"

Pretty sure it doesn't even work that way. They were making the same argument on the other side for the jogging incident. If you didnt personally witness someone committing a crime, you're not justified in doing a citizens arrest. You can't just kill random people that the mob yells "he's the one that shot someone" at

Nope, that one did put his hands up (with a gun on one already) but there was also another that backed off hands up and didn't get shot.

Yeah, it's pretty clear. It helps Trump though to work that narrative though. (I offered. You refused. Things got worse. You accepted. Things got better)

The feds ramp up at the same time muddies the water, but we know what happened out west. Larping against feds using non lethals is fun to some, and they don't care about adding another line to their record, but the chance of seeing real consequences actually scares them. Turns out you can't just beat up whoever you want.

Yeah, totally. It's fun to larp against cops because they know they're only up against Less Lethal stuff and getting Vanned just adds another line to their criminal record they don't care about.

Kyle represents real consequences for their actions. They can't just beat up anyone they want.

Also, the ones that buy the story and believe he just went on a rampage killing peaceful protestors are scared too.

Ironically, crossing the border might help, considering it gives the feds jurisdiction if they want to step in.

I took a look at a couple Kenosha live streams from the last two nights and there's a conspicuous lack of fire and destruction. Now maybe it just wasn't in the right area or at the right time but the marches I saw seemed pretty peaceful.

Turns out it's fun to BurnLootMurder when your actions are tacitly condoned and there are no consequences, but Antifa has trouble rousing the troops to violence when there's the chance of opposition and consequences are real.

The feds are part of it, intercepting outside agitators, but they didn't shut down the destructive nature of the riots out west so dramatically.

I usually use a 12Ga slug or 30-06 for deer hunting but used an AR once a couple years ago to see how it compares. Controlled expansion soft points, not range ammo. It was quite effective. There was a ton of chest cavity tissue damage and plenty to be humane, provided shot placement is good which honestly matters most.

That being said, my first season I hit a buck at full sprint with a slug in the rear hind quarter and it (sadly) turned his femur/hip to a mess of bone shrapnel wrecking some meat. He definitely wasn't going anywhere and a follow up shot to finish him followed quickly. That's the difference. The AR, he would be much more likely to run off on adrenaline and suffer unnecessarily.

It's amazing what adrenaline can get a deer through. I had a huge (~200 lb dressed) doe who ran another 100+ yds deeper into the forest after taking a 30-06 round that put a hole through her heart (confirmed while field dressing)

.308 is close to same speed and 2x-3x the bullet weight. Trade-off is a lot more recoil and weight.
