I was 17 1/2 years old and my family is pretty ignorant to just how complex this whole situation is. They think orange mad bad all the way but they can't prove why outside of anything the media tells them. I was told Hillary was the lesser of the two evils. I believed it. Obama was "scandal free" I had no real direction in my life. Lost as many 17 1/2 year olds can be. The election happened and I wasn't too bummed and went on the whole "well we'll see how this Mueller investigation goes" roller coaster. One day I thought that it was quite odd that the whole society seemed to have shifted to this weird "if you vote for trump youre a nazi" type situation. I started to dig into what I could figure out was true and what wasn't. Turns out, I was quite literally wrong about basically well, everything. Everyone I believed was wrong. The people I knew who I thought I could trust, were wrong. Because of Donald J Trump the duely elected president of the United States of America, I would still be wallowing in depression I didn't even know I had until it was gone. Suicidal thoughts I didn't even know where a problem until they were gone. I'd be in college right now getting duped on the truth. Lied too. I'd probably feel guilty because of my skin color. I'd probably still think antifa are anti-facist. I would have never started pursuing a couple small business ventures. Even as early on as I still am in them. I starred reading more. Making sure I fully understand things like the Consitution of the United States to the word. The bible to the word, the declaration of Independence. I wouldnt know history like I do now. I'd still be some weirdo sitting in class with no idea what to do if it wasn't for Donald Trump. I would have all my definitions mixed up. I probably wouldn't believe in XX XY chromosomes being the only 2 genders. I wouldn't know who the real racists are.
All that and im only 21, going on 22. I thank Donald trump and other like minded folk like him for making sure I didn't go astray too soon in the one life I have yet to finish living.
