It is pretty simple. There was enough evidence of fraud to use executive powers to seize the machines for forensic analysis. Trump did not pull the trigger because he had too much to lose. By the time he had even thought about seizing the machines, it was probably already too late. Trump never took his mandate to drawn ths swamp seriously and he found out the hardway the swamp will scheme your downfall if you do not destroy them first.
Just calling a spade a spade. Trump threw the Capitol protestors under the bus when he realized it made him look bad on T.V. There will be no pardons for regular people who trusted Trump and went to D.C. at his invitation.
