In some ways yes. It's as if they are doing the bidding of those in their ivory towers and keeping the poor and weak down. It could seem this way. But the issue is much more complicated than that. Cops arrest a murderer and he's back on the streets in a day. Who's fault? Judges, prosecutors, defense attorneys. The system is broken without a doubt. But it does not start or end with the police. It's beyond that. You see a bad guy doing a bad thing, what do you do? Call 911 normally. Someone's breaking into your home what do you do? Call 911 normally. Obv defend yourself but most people call 911. Most people can't defend themselves. We can't "disown" the police. If we do the fight is even more dire and hopeless than I imagined.
A valid point on the gun laws. Good people have trouble getting legal guns and it's a travisty. Bad guys get guns however and whenever they want. Dirty guns, black market guns, stolen guns. City cops predominantly aren't taking good citizens guns. Just good guys have trouble getting them and bad guys can get one anytime they want. Hence violence from bad guys and good guys not being able to defend themselves. Corrupt judges and legislators. Look at chicago. This city cops are desperately trying to stop the chaos. But it is literally them vs the world. Why would we want to add to their burden?
Of course there's bad cops and military. But there's also good ones and there are people stepping up and doing the right thing. But you don't hear about it..why? Because it's not sexy and it doesn't fit the narrative. I'm not saying support and defend them unconditionaly. But I would say that the good guys in those positions are under stress and strain that none of us could fathom. The good guys are doing their damnedest to hild back this storm. Are they losing? Perhaps. But they aren't giving up. And the 6th thing is FBI. They and local pd are not the same thing.
Their job is to uphold the constitution. There are many who won't but there are many who will. Obviously don't trust a dude with a badge just cuz he has a badge. But why do we only see the negative things about police on tv and elsewhere? Wheres the good stuff they do? There is a narrative being pushed and we can't fall for it. Theft rape and murder. Absolutely agree with you. Some of the best things to see is when good law abiding citizens step up and do the right thing and stop an evil doer from unleashing some hatred on a innocent.
Every cop has not agreed to as part of his job to enforce laws, all of them. Officer discretion is a thing. And what does "good" mean? I would someone willing to die for complete strangers is a good cop and a good man. Anyone willing to chase murders, rapists and robbers through dark alleys is a good cop and a good man. Don't let the actions of a few dictate your opinion of the many. Are all pastors, ministers and priests evil and bad because of the actions of some bad ones?
The left hates and despises the police. Do you see how crime rates in every major liberal city in this country have sky rocketed since this new war on the police has started? The left has always been the enemy of the police and law and order. If people who think like us turn on them they will leave. Over night. Any good ones left will be gone.
Some will say they will do it, but those are the cowards who've never really been in it or done anything and when push comes to shove they will cave. They don't want to risk their lives to try and take weapons away from law abiding citizens, many of whom are violent people. Good cops exist and always will. Feds.... different story and I'm sure plenty of them would do the wrong thing. That being said, if the police are so willing to take your guns and rights away and throw you in jail why has that not been done yet on a massive scale? I'm not saying there aren't bad police or military. Just saying we can't paint with a broad brush like the left does. And that quote confuses me. Are you suggesting that there should be no laws?
Who did you see take a knee? Some videos her and there of cowards doing coward things and kneeling. As my comment above suggests, small numbers of instances that are being used to paint with a broad brush. Hundreds of thousands of cops out there bleeding and dying to do the right thing. Don't let that be overshadowed by the videos posted by media or the left.
Certainly good people defy immoral and unconstitutional orders. There are bad cops and bad military. Just seems to me that people are painting with a broad brush on here just like the left does. That's bullshit if that's what happened to you but that's one instance in Olympia. There are hundreds of thousands of cops in this country. Look at a lot of the sheriff's stepping up across the country. Local cops saying they are enforcing mandates but actually doing the opposite.
Do you not believe it is better to have like minded people in the military as well as joining the military at this point in time? I believe it is now more important than ever to have good Christian minded soldiers who will do the right thing instead of the thing they are told. Look at the early Christians and how many of them were military working behind the scenes to help the cause and do the right thing. I have more respect for someone who is going to join in such an uncertain time full well knowing the chaos they are walking into. That takes balls. The easy thing to do is to leave or not join and let the enemy have the win.

Agreed big time. Some of the safest and least crime ridden areas have well armed populations. It's a beautiful thing. Well armed populace is part of the brilliance of the founding fathers.
