There are actually still a lot of airliner crashes. Usually a couple a year, except usually in other countries... Depending on what region you're in I could tell you which crash you're thinking of. Crashes in the United States have thankfully dropped off, with the last big one I can think of being that Amazon Air crash.
Most of the crashes in the 70s and 80s had to do with technology not being as advanced as it is now. There weren't things like TCAS (traffic collision avoidance system) to prevent planes from accidentally flying into each other. There wasn't GPWS (ground proximity warning system) to alert pilots that they were about to fly into terrain... but you also had a lot of maintenance issues like AA191. Sorry, not sure if you were looking for a serious answer or not.
Ask Amazon Air how that worked out. Look up Atlas Air 3591. It's probably hard to find in any of the write-ups, but the first officer was a crappy pilot who was allowed to keep flying even though he repeatedly failed in his training. He was presumably allowed to keep flying even though he was a terrible pilot because he was black. He ended up putting a perfectly operational Boeing 767 into a smoking hole in the ground because he thought they were stalling and put the plane into a sudden nose dive, killing himself and the other two pilots. The icing on the cake? His family sued Amazon, because of course the did...

Drugs can be dangerous anyway, but they're especially dangerous if you're buying pills from street dealers. Some of these people don't know they're taking fentanyl, but a lot of them absolutely know the drugs are being cut with fent and they want them for precisely that reason.
Meth and opiates are the most popular choice among the homeless people in my area. You can tell that they're speedballing on meth and fent by the dance they do. A person who is just on meth looks a lot different from someone who's speedballing. The meth addict is jittery and tweaking all over the place, and the speedballer does what George Floyd does in that convenience store video. They're clearly high out of their minds and they should be glued to a chair, but the meth gives them energy to do stupid shit like that peepee dance he does. He knew what he was doing, shouldn't have eaten his stash. Oh well, no great loss.

I keep hearing people say this, but I don't get it. I've been a runner/jogger for over thirty years and my knees are great, and I weigh almost 270 pounds. You'd think if anybody was blowing out they're knees it would be me. Meanwhile I know people in their 20s who have already blown out their knees. Maybe it's genetic, or they just run the wrong way.
