Please do not hurt yourself. Go to your mom’s. There is absolutely no shame in seeking solice and support in family. I’ve had a fairly good life, kept my nose clean, but have still landed in really bad spots. It’s those bad spots that lead to the best ones. I moved back home to my parents after a really bad life choice marrying an abusive husband and having a nasty divorce- I left with literally nothing but the clothes I was wearing and my dog, and have lived with my siblings on two occasions (moving and saving money for a home). Now, I’m in the best relationship ever with my now-husband, and hanging in there in this tough world. All things happen for a reason, and you are definitely NOT ALONE in this world. If I hadn’t had the worst stuff happen (and it was hell living through it) I would never have been where I needed to be to meet my husband and be living the life I dreamt of.
This is what I’ve been thinking for a while. They are working to dismantle our government so quickly. They must really think they have all the control. Either they’re lunatics for believing that, or that’s the truth. I pray to God it’s the former.
I’m not disagreeing, my ‘conservative’ local government has done jack shit to help. This is why people in my area are still terrified to defy orders. And our governor has locked down the entire state multiple times, and still controls when a county can open back up. He’s literally a dictator, and our local governments still allow it. When I say that my side of the state is conservative, it doesn’t mean they actually have balls. Conservative in Eastern WA means less liberal than Western WA at this point.
I’ve travelled to other states that have lax expectations, and I don’t wear a mask in those states. WA didn’t get to being one of the most liberal states without knowing how to manipulate and terrorize people into submission. Threaten peoples’ livelihood and people aren’t going to change. Hence why the stores have been so strict on customers wearing masks.
I didn’t post to get kudos. You missed the point, and there are so many like me that are well in the fight. I’m guessing you haven’t actually been to WA and seen the devastation that this tyrannical government has done to small business and lives it’s destroyed. I live on the CONSERVATIVE side of the state, and not one other person was shopping without a mask. Belittling people for not taking action earlier is not how you win the war. I probably would have thrown out even a month ago. People in my area are at least not yelling and attacking me, which might not have the case a little while ago.
Better late than never while the war isn’t lost, and unless you’ve lived in the bullshit state I do, the fear-mongering government is overreaching and everywhere. I don’t know about others, but it was part being confronted and being told I can’t shop there (I finally just told myself the only thing I lose is time because then I have to leave and go somewhere else to shop- the inconvenience is acceptable to me), and that I’m by nature a ‘rule’ follower (decided that civil disobedience is being a rule follower- to the Constitution).
Absolutely can confirm! Could go up to the Canadian border into Bellingham as well. Between Portland and Olympia is not nearly so bad as the cities it’s between, but this is such a good visual of what the west coast political makeup really looks like is.
Moving there this summer as well from shithole WA state. Hubby was born and raised in IA, and moving there for family reasons, but the fact it’s a based state is a super-sized bonus.
I keep looking at red states with such longing from my communist state of WA.
So does the Leadership Institute, which is taught by a primary source historian and lawyer. Teaches the constitution in the light of what was designed to do. Spoiler alert: we weren’t taught a lot and most likely on purpose. We’ve been played into not understanding what powers it really gives states and citizens. Every time my company has an all-hands meeting and our DIE guy speaks, I leave the meeting. Period. His piece of shit woke agenda has worsened my job satisfaction. A lot.
