It’s just no longer historical. It’s more a fictional version, which is okay if that’s what you’re going for. Last year my kids were watching this “documentary “ about Rome and a lot of Romans were drawn as black (it was animated! That’s what’s funny) and it was confusing. We had to turn it off. When it’s a live production and you use the cast you have that’s different. We have gone to see A Christmas Carol live and the cast is completely mixed races and it works fine, even though you know it’s not what it really would have been. It works because everyone is completely random races. However about 4 years ago I took my son to a play of the lion the witch and the wardrobe, and the cast was really small and Peter was played by this huge black dude, he was a good actor, but it really confused the kids. Like, they were brothers and sisters? Also why is he 40? Anyway sometimes it works, and doesn’t matter, and sometimes it just doesn’t make sense at all and pulls you out of the story.

I know people who have died but they weren’t “healthy”. However most Americans aren’t heathy so they may have thought that they were. Most people just had a cold basically. Same as the flu. People die from the flu but most are fine.
