It came to me the other day, that one of the reasons I might be a rare conservative from youth, other than an IQ over 50, is an early experience with a journalist. I was interviewed about a class field trip to the state capitol or some such in second or third grade- I don't remember much about it. What I do remember is that, when my quote appeared in the paper, it bore no relation to what I had actually said. I've known journalists were full of shit since I was like 7.
