I feel it's wrong to censor people without their consent and think it's awfully bigotted of people to try and remove anyone from the public square for what they believe.

I think I may be onto the reason why the woke left and white supremacists are so much alike. I believe that the truth of the matter is, racial supremacy is driven less by race itself, but rather more by the idea of self supremacy. If we were to agree that there is a higher propensity for psychopathy found within white supremacist groups, why does it stand to reason that these people would or should care about anybody else? Because of some racial kinship or creed? It would be strange given that psychopathy itself is characterized by a distinct absence of empathy.

To dig deeper, from personal experience, I see many on the left tend to be underachieving post graduates. Through the various metrics showcasing alignments to social justice causes and their relationship with post secondary education, it at least lends credence to the idea that there is a relationship between education and wokeness at the very least. And yet, the people my age (and I don't blame the impressionable youth) who tout varying master's degrees and use their social media platforms to speak their causes are, in my opinion, some of the most vapid and intellectually dull people I've ever met. I think the reason for the many who hold such varying academic accolades is because they have sought to pacify their cognitive insecurities by achieving something of prestigious academic merit. Sadly, they seem too oblivious to the fact that modern day universities favour the obsequious, rarely genuine brilliance.

Unable to satisfy their ailing egos when their merit is put to the test in the real world, I feel they try to set themselves apart. Only this time, they choose social justice issues, where they can flaunt all the heavily loaded (though nebulously defined) buzzwords they would care to write - a thousand words without a point. I think it's this insatiable desire to feed their egos that they have most in common with age old racial supremacist groups. In fact, I believe that had it been more acceptable, they'd have sided with that German party. I do suppose that's why many employ the same tactics.

But here's the funny thing. I think that the Democratic party switch (and by switch, I only mean a switch in strategy because they haven't changed) occurred in order to gaslightthe black community into voting for them. Except in doing so, I believe that many may have gaslit themselves as a result. As the old adage goes, if you say a lie a thousand times, it becomes the truth. I think that's what happened here. And now this new generation filled with little responsibility for their own actions and shortcomings can't come to grips with the idea that much of this is their own fault, and so they flock to these social justice causes in hope of proving themselves in their own minds their own version of superiority. A boil by any other, more acceptable name. A facial blemish?

I'd also like to see a study on just how many of these sjw activists are narcissists. Silver spoon in mouth, I'm sure they were brought up to believe themselves superior. How many selfies, whether touched up by filters, some artistic caricature, or otherwise do these people have? Do they pose with their faces in their pictures to showcase their new pet or baby? How often do they post their social justice triumphs on social media to show off to their friends?

I seek not to impose my beliefs on anyone else, only for the right to follow my own, so long as it is within the legal limits of fair and just laws. Bit of a block of text that I posted in response to a youtube video (where it was alluded that Asians are successful largely as a result of wealth inheritance) that I felt would bring something ofvalue to share. Not for clout. Not for brownie points. Just for discussion with a hint of catharsis.

I just wanted to delineate between the wealthy Asians and the staggeringly poor ones. Asia is an incredibly diverse continent. This idea that African-Americans have it so bad just comes across as both ignorant and whiny when compared to poverty stricken regions abroad, many from places touted for having much success in the Western world.

I was born in the Philippines before moving to HK and then subsequently to Canada. That country was absolutely wrought by poverty, enslaved by the Spanish for well roughly 330 years, occupied by the Americans for nearly 50 years, and then again by Japan for about another 3 circa ww2. During the Spanish occupation, my ancestors subsisted off the guts and intestines that the Spaniards threw away as they weren't even deemed fit enough to use as fertilizer. Under the Imperial Japanese, babies were thrown up in the air and caught with katanas for amusement. These are just brief snippets, mind, of the attrocities committed on the Filipino people, and not even the worst. There are some residual effects over the near 400 years of occupation, as there are literal islands of garbage that people live and scavenge refuse from of which I'm sure there are many documentaries about. Yet, when Filipinos move overseas, they are one of the most represented people in medical fields, specifically nursing.

I don't think Filipinos are smarterthan the rest. It's not an issue of cognition as it is culture. If you go to Manila, you notice a certain collective and nurturing nature, likely the result of poverty combined with geographical isolation that fuels this solidarity. For better or for worse, they tend to have a type of group think and will come to each other's aid as a result of their shared heritage, even if they don't know each other. It's a stereotype that Filipino parties include random people off the streets at times, which rings true more often than not in my experience. Furthermore, the familial bond is incredibly robust, with parents working for their children to better their education and financial prospects. These tenets, I believe, are some of the primary delineations that allow for Filipinos to foster success. That, and the fact that they, as a people, are not burdened by the silly idea that the current generation are owed any recompense over the actions in the distant past that had nothing to do with either them nor the people they seek compensation from. The sins of the father should not be passed to the child as they are their own person, and thinking otherwise is in itself dehumanizing.

Understand that these beliefs are not the result of that very same group think. Despite being half Chinese and half Filipino and having been brought up overseas for roughly 10 years of my youth, I consider myself Canadian first and foremost, though admittedly with less and less zeal as the days pass. It's one reason why I refer to Filipinos as they, not we. These are just observations, but ones with historical context that I alluded to but did not go in depth with. Some may call me a racist and while that is probably quite true, there's no single group I am most critical of than the Chinese.

That aside, I think that the one thing that is holding back society right now from breaching beyond these tribal politics is the very inane fear of being called a racist. This has less to do with race as it does culture, and to think cultures do not have their own set values or ideas is either ignorant or vastly disingenuous and hypocritical. Where else does this notion that rich white people in general don't care about the common folk? Funnily enough, I agree with that, though I'd say this problem is prevalent in people born rich in general and is not exclusive to white people. Furthermore, why is it racist to similarly derive these types of stereotypes with people of certain cultural (not racial) persuasions, one of many factors included in the evolution of their general philosophies being poverty?

If we want to actually work out these problems, it's imperativethat these types of discussions be had, because historical contexts are so incredibly important. Not so much to quantify guilt or punishment, as the time for that typically has long since gone, but rather to work out how best to serve these communities. I'm sure some sort of financial help is in order, but that's just a bandaid solution. To get at to the heart, it's important to understand the what, why, and the how. To do that, we've got to shed these petty notions of calling each others racist if we have any hope at bringing any rational deliberation to the table.

Many of my leftist friends don't seem to understand my dad jokes and I've figured out why. They're not dads. They aborted all of their chances at being one.

As a result of them blundering Chem class, I now realize that the reason why they think words are violence is because they think that the sodium in tears is asexplosive as the metal.

Remove the upvoting and downvoting functions of any account whose sole activity is downvoting crap. It's a simple enough fix, and while it won't fix the problem, it will ease the symptoms. Additionally, perhaps the implementation of some sort of week long barrier from upvoting and downvoting privileges may deter those seeking to troll. In the case that diehard lefties still mass create accounts, adding a safeguard that ensures there's at least some activity (like viewing the page or commenting) or risk requiring additional authentication in the case that there is none could also be in order.

This isn't some idea promoting censorship, mind you. It's only meant to curb the obvious problem of spam, in part due to having an open forum untethered by authentication. It follows alongside the same principles of one vote per person.
