I argue that these measures are not very effective against Covid, because of its long incubation period, but are much more effective against the flu.

Do you understand that the measures taken against Covid to reduce its spread are also effective against the flu? If you catch the flu, but can't use public transportation, fly to another country, go to a mall, school, work, etc. You will not infect countless other people. If you catch the flu and happen to sit out in isolation for 2 weeks, you will recover from the flu and possibly won't infect anyone at all (besides possibly only the immediatee family).

I don't see any contradictions in the numbers provided by the CDC. Also what I've described serves as a simple explanation (Occam's razor) for the data that does not include grand conspiracy. Also, even if conflating the test results and writing positives as Covid rather than the flu is conceptually possible, correlation does not mean causation. Doesn't mean that this is what's behind the change in flu numbers.

Let's ignore Covid for a moment, and consider how a virus that is also airborne but with shorter incubation period (and if you do get it, you'll recover in 7-10 days) would spread if:

  1. Large portion of the population is wearing masks.

  2. Airports restrict travel, and generally people travel less due to financial reasons.

  3. Lockdowns that restrict movement forcing people to remain close to their homes.

  4. Quarantine orders that make people sit in isolation for 12-14 days (so if you do get the flu, you'll recover without infecting other people before you get to leave quarantine).

Wrongthink is disallowed! Didn't you know that only party approved psychologists can be referenced?

What is the point that you are trying to make?

From what I can see, it looks like the half assed measures used to reduce or mitigate the spread of the China virus were also very effective against the spread of influenza as a side effect.

But he's not in a strict islamic society, and will be able to get out of his criminal activities scot free.

Germany (and Europe) gets a large portion of its gas and oil from the pipelines that go through Turkey. If they crack down on Turkey, they'll have to suck Putin's dick and rely on Russia's oil. I'm thinking to them Turkey is preferable and the occasional beheading or rape is something the ruling elites are willing to sacrifice. It's not like the kids of the folks in government are the ones that get raped or beheaded. It's them dirty peasants. (Mekrel, and some other European bigwigs don't even have kids).

I know people that think it's a possible scenario, and no amount of explaining how the setting of Handmaid's tale makes no sense can convince them otherwise.

This story is based on the Iranian islamic revolution, where women could be placed in their "slot" in the emerging fundamentalist religious society because they weren't half of the country's workforce. No western country could take that hit to its economy

Also, if fertility is limited to a small group of women, I'm more inclined to believe that their standing in their society would be very high, as opposed to be treated as slaves. All in all, the stress involved in living under such conditions would probably lead to natural abortions anyway. If they wanted to turn fertile women into incubators, it would've been easier to keep them in medically induced comas and avoid the drama altogether. Or something like the Axlotl tanks from Dune.

Even more importantly, there must be a national registry for forks! One strike = 4 stab wounds! It's like a knife, but on full auto! When will the French government do something about these weapons of mass destruction?

The main issue with voter fraud is not actual people voting, but manipulation of ballots so the dems would be able to claim that they won. The media already set the background for it with shit polls that show sleepy Biden has 4537659745% of winning.

It may end up like Belarus. Real votes go to trash, and the end count says 4537659745% voted D just like the polls predicted.

If the democrats haven't alienated everyone yet from voting for them, I see they're trying really fucking hard.

Unfortunately these aren't the Jews that vote in the US elections. The ones in the US are very left leaning, although with the recent crackdown in NY that might change.

I think the 'Suckers' and 'Losers' story was never meant for Trump supporters. No one with more than one brain call would ever take such nonsense seriously.

It was probably meant to try and reduce the dems from bleeding out votes.

LirukDatan 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yes, none of it makes sense (like all other left arguments).

Hong Kong was never part of the US, so how could the US lose it? And lose it to who? China? Isn't China absolutely the best judging by the current left standards? So why is it a bad thing that HK is now under China's control?

So many contradictions...

So everything is racist now, and it's only a question of how much mental gymnastics you have to do before you get there...

I yearn for the days when this BS will be over.

So the left substitutes the meanings of words to fit their narrative. Color me shocked...

Soon even saying good morning will be deemed (selectively) offensive.

The absurd thing is that it doesn't need to be widespread. Just a couple hundred ballots here, a thousand there, in a battleground county in a battleground state.

But Joe didn't remember all those instances so they don't count!

The masks were never intended to be the ultimate protection against the virus some people think they are. Even if it's a good mask, and you clean or change it regularly, and WEAR THE THING PROPERLY(!), maybe it'll reduce your chances of getting the virus by like 30%? Which is better than nothing, but still - people that say they've been wearing the mask and still got sick, I wouldn't take their word for it. I see how people are wearing masks...
