Personally, I'd avoid communities with those names like the plague. This, combined with a lack of a specific purpose, is one of the reasons that I don't use consumeproduct. As for 'votewithyourmoney.win', it's just too long and works better as a subtitle.

The are dozens of lists like that, but no one cares enough to check them. An dedicated community would encourage more people to actively check in on it. The addition of being able to make posts also encourages the adverage user to feel a stake in the goal of the community.

The theme/goal of Patriots.win is too broad, which means that any attempt to organize boycotts and other such market activities would be drowned out.

An active community that leverages the creativity of a expansive user base is what we're really looking for.

I think the art would do the heavy lifting when it comes to defining the patriotic goals of the community. The title needs to be simple and to the point however.

The problem with a 'list' is that most people are too lazy to actively check it. It's much better to have an active community to engage with.

I've discussed this very thing with many people, and I haven't heard a better name suggested than "Boycotts.win" that efficiently communicates the goal of the community. Other names, such as "Action" or "BuyPatriots" require explanation, while "Boycotts" is very direct and immediately understood by most.

I've been posting about this for quite some time... Hopefully, one day, a mod will see it.

I've been posting about this topic for a while, and the possibilities of alternative names has been brought up, but people seem to agree that the name needs to be more direct. "Merchants" wouldn't communicate the purpose as effectively as "Boycotts". Obviously, buycotts and other such activities would be included, but the name needs to be something that people immediately understand.

  1. Buycotts would be included too, obviously.

  2. Lists aren't enough. Needs to be much more active.

To mods: add a Boycotts.win community to organize boycotts against woke corporations and promote patriot alternatives!

And before people comment, yes, there would be Buycotts as well, possibly with an ascoiated flair.

No, they're not. I've posted this idea like 5 times and they haven't taken action yet. I haven't given up though, expect more post to come.

Interesting idea, but I fear "Action" wouldn't communicate the purpose of the community that well.

I originally thought that as well, but people kept commenting that "Boycotts.win" was too negative, so I'm proposing two communities as a compromise.

The title does communicate the purpose as effectively as "Boycotts". The functionality your pushing for would exist in the community though.
