Most started at 6 am, polls close at 7.pm. Still people in,pine waiting to vote. Most workers get to go home, only a few want tot stay. Even the elected officials that are mandated to be there want to go home. There are less than 10:people that stay to count the write ins. Each ballot has up to 50 candidates, they are double sided. Each name for each race has to be tallied, then totaled by race. It’s quite time consuming. It it wasn’t, they never would have had machines count them in the first place.
Volunteer, you’ll learn a lot.
