yes they were. Self defense is an affirmative defense against murder. Self defense doesn’t make it “legal” to kill someone, it’s just a defense against being found criminally liable for doing so. The homeowner could still be charged and brought to trial and be required to use it as a defense. Most likely will not happen but it still could.

Don’t get me wrong, I’d love for SNL and NBC to get bitchslapped in a lawsuit over shit like this. But my guess is that they’d argue by testifying in a public hearing she made herself a public figure, or some shit like that.

Notice this year there were a lot more “you need to vote” ads. Not “you need to vote for this candidate”, just “you need to vote”. They needed turnout. They needed cover for the manufactured ballots.
