My aunt is talking about maybe bringing the whole family down to stay at Hotel Mar-a-Lago, like - as a way to show support. If we're supposed to vote with our dollars, she feels that anything we can do to ensure that Trump returns to politics is a good idea, so she's urging the whole family and the extended also to make bookings in the weeks and months ahead. It would be the OPPOSITE of a boycott. I don't know what to call that. But that might be something we could organize here, on this site. Maybe a mass booking of rooms at Mar-A-Lago, maybe even near Independence Day? I don't know. Just spitballing.

Trump didn't fucking write that. He's reading something prepared for him. Guiliani is probably making him say this shit for legal reasons. Trump needs to watch his back, legally, which makes sense. But you can tell he's just going through the motions here. I think folks here need to help Trump's movement DESPITE what they're making him do right now. The movement can't die just because they've found a way to muzzle and censor our leaders. I think people here need to step up and be heroes.
I think we need to look at the long-game. This is a strategic cessation of hostilities. But in 4 years, we have another chance for change. I don't know if Trump will run again, but there's lot of people on our side who are probably thinking about it. Folks will need to come out in force. We'll be better prepped for next time. All the trump kids are probably thinking of running. We will ahve to marshal behind one of them if Trump decides it's not worth the bullshit.
My uncle used to be a churchgoer. He stopped a little while ago but one of the things that stayed was that he has a habit of saying, "Testify" when he agrees with you. Like - the way I'll say, "Yeah. I hear you," he says "Testify". Which I always liked.
In terms of the constitution, maybe the thing that could be brought into conversation is like, the 28th Amendment. Which hasn't been written. But maybe folks can ask each other, if there WAS to be one, what should it be? It's a conversation starter. But also, it's like us. The Trump Era is a new thing in our country's history. It too hadn't been written until Trump did it. I dunno. I'm just brainstorming here.
