And what you have is perfectly fine. I have a G2C myself and carry it everyday. I also have more expensive handguns such as CZ’s and 1911s that I switch out with sometimes, but I love the size and form factor of the G2C. Shot about a thousand rounds through it and it’s holds up great and super reliable. All the Taurus haters need to catch up with the times as Taurus has been stepping up their game as of late and are making quality and reliable firearms for the price. I mean, all the off duty Brazilian cops use Taurus to take care of business and they see way more action than any of these Taurus haters ever will. Lakeline LLC makes some great upgrade parts as well, including threaded barrels, stainless steel guide rod and stainless steel firing pin sleeve if you ever want to spruce it up and make it even nicer. I would also recommend checking out Keep Tinkering’s trigger upgrade for your G2S.
The Shockwave variants of the Mossberg 590 has a 15in barrel so in order to keep it legal, they used the bird grip instead of a stock. The ATF doesn’t consider it a shotgun, rifle or pistol so it’s legally considered a 12 gauge firearm. It even comes with approval papers in the box from the ATF.
20 rounds for this mag pictured.(It comes with a 10 round mag) Its legal except in California, New York and New Jersey. When I bought the gun last year, Buds Gun Shop had it for $300. 20 round mag was around $80. Bulldot laser is $90 and Raptor F1 forend upgrade was $40. Now with the gun shortage, I’ve seen it go up to around $1000 for the gun, which is pretty crazy. I would suggest waiting until after the election when things die down a bit and more are in stock.
Not at all. Yeah, it’s gonna be a lot more felt recoil than most guns out there, but with proper push pull technique with good grip, it’s very manageable. I was shooting it today from the hip and anything I point the laser at, it hits.
Unfortunately no, this model isn’t Cali compliant. The barrel is 15” which is under the required 18.5” for it to be considered a shotgun. The ATF considers this a 12 gauge firearm because it doesn’t fit the descriptions of a pistol, rifle or shotgun. Which is part of the reason why I had to have it.
It’s a bulldot laser. The dot grows the further out you point it, so it makes for quick and easy target acquisition. Yes, they recommend to fire from the hip but you can def aim down the sights once you get the hang of the recoil. The recoil isn’t as bad as you’d expect with buckshot and even slugs. I’d recommend it. It comes with a 10 round mag, and I decided to scoop up the 20 rounder after seeing how ridiculous it was.
It’s cool man, I’m down to help. It’s a UTG bulldot laser. What makes it different from a standard laser is that the further out the target that you point it at is, the bigger the dot. So it makes for easier target acquisition and in the case of the Mossberg 590m Shockwave, since it doesn’t have a stock (which of course would make it easier to aim with a standard shotgun), you can actually hip fire it with the bulldot and hit your target. From the factory, the 590m Shockwave does come with a bead sight at the front of the barrel that you can use to aim with, but it does take time to get use to. If you have any other questions, let me know!
I thought there was a call for signature audit in GA yesterday. Did I miss something?
