“The agenda of Chancellor Carranza and his senior leadership team was euphemistically touted as an ‘equity platform’ but in reality, it was a platform used to create gender, age, racial and ethnic divisions”

That's exactly what all this "equity" bullshit is in reality. Carranza didn't do anything unexpected or out of line with that ideology.

“That is not about being Jewish! It’s about black and brown boys of color only,”

The phrase "hoisted by one's own petard" comes to mind.

"Democracy dies in darkness" isn't a warning. It's their goal.

Hipster lifestyle food is always ridiculously expensive.

They know people are only going to try it once, so they have to make that one time count.

If you haven't boycotted Coca Cola before you haven't been paying enough attention.

Here's Coca Cola's statement on January 6th: https://twitter.com/CocaColaCo/status/1347224074024579075

They also supported the "stop hate for profit" campaign that bullied Facebook into more censorship: https://archive.is/i9tcT

This shouldn't come as a surprise.

I used to be a pop junky. Replaced it with sparkling water.

Same here. Soft drinks are nothing but an addictive habit. Once I got through that initial "withdrawal" phase I didn't even want to drink it anymore because the taste is sickening compared to just plain sparkling water.

Gyms where I live are closed.

Gyms are overpriced anyway. Get some adjustable dumbbells and an exercise bench and you can do most stuff at home. Plenty of sites with exercises, e.g. https://exrx.net/Lists/Directory. Go running or cycling for cardio

Do you WANT corporate mainstream media to get a massive payday? Because that's what this "outrage" is all about.

Facebook kicked news sites out because Australia is trying to force Facebook to pay mainstream media for hosting them. It's an extortion racket from the AU government to get "their" media a huge payday.

More red flags than a communist parade.

I hate ... people who think they don't need therapy

I have a sneaking suspicion this doesn't apply to herself, because the amount of therapy she needs could put generations of therapists' children through college.

Yea I don't think people get what this is about.

If Facebook wouldn't do this they'd have to pay tons of money to the very same mainstream media everyone here hates.

By attacking Facebook on this one you are campaigning for the enemy of the people.

I'm with Facebook on this one, and you should be too.

Australia is trying to force Internet companies to pay news media for sending traffic to said media. Facebook said fuck it and that's a good thing. For one, it's ridiculous to demand payment for headlines.

More importantly: where do you think that money is going to end up? It's not going to be independent media. It's going to be corporate mainstream media that reports what the government wants to hear.

People here are actively rooting for corporate mainstream media just to spite Facebook. If Facebook complies they be funding the very same media everyone here hates.

AllI I know is google hates it, so it's probably a good thing.

That's not always a good thing. We all know who'll benefit from these payments: mainstream media that reports what the government wants to hear.

Australia wants to (or maybe already did) enact laws that force internet companies to pay news media for using as little as the headlines of articles. Might just be Facebook kicking them off their service so they don't have to pay.

Indeed. It seems a lot of people here give up at the first sign of trouble.

Windmills in Texas not working? Whelp, time to give up on the whole state!

Pretty sure it's because they are posted here. Seems automated because it happens to every post that uses streamable.

It was bound to happen. The only question is how long until they make it official.

You have to be willfully ignorant or lying to pretend Biden still has all his mental faculties. He's had way too many episodes. He can barely handle highly scripted public appearances, and that's on his GOOD days when his handlers deem him coherent enough to appear in public.
