As a non-citizen and non-resident, I won't be a puff-chested instigator with no skin in the game who tells Americans what they should do or how they ought to act.
That being said, it should be pointed out that all conflicts in human history have been fought by men with families.
Precious little is spoken about Nunes. There was a short-lived infatuation on account of his Portuguese descent, but he was too pro-Trump for the media to cover him in a positive light.
As for how politically left Portugal is, it has mostly to do with the fact that we lived under a conservative corporatist regime for a while. Much like formerly communist countries are now very right-leaning, the opposite has happened to Portugal, where the far-left is pooh-poohed, and everyone to the right of Mao gets called a far-right nazi.
Edit: Digging the username, pede.
Here you go, my good man.
Portugal here. Our media and most of our public figures are just hoping for Trump to disappear, always pick his most unflattering photos for their copypasta biased articles, and basically just act as CNNollywood-lite. Looking forward to much salt-mining, myself.
That woman is great. Shame that the message just doesn't go through the skulls of a certain emotionally incontinent segment.
By all means, they should roil and rage to their heart's (dis)content to cope with their emotions when faced with setbacks, but do it in private and keep it to themselves. The risk of demoralizing others just isn't worth whatever relief their venting in public might give, as any sensible adult should be able to figure out.
You seem to be confusing capitalism with opportunism, pede. Grifters gonna grift.
