My cousin is a white liberal dating a black guy and she’s OBSESSED. She’s afraid to take him to our family vaca spot because there’s too many white people and it’s in the wilderness so they’re uneducated and don’t know about black people. I was like b**** what?! I’ve never seen anything racist there. Meanwhile, here in the city we’re in, they get called out on a regular basis: “what are you doing with that white girl?” The doublethink is real.
Wow! This guy gets it. I’ve always thought of them as muzzles. And if we all accept being muzzled what will we accept next? We’re accepting having our temperature taken to get on a plane. To contact tracing. To compulsory clothing (the masks). What the hell is next?
Not to mention all the cases that don’t get classified as hate crimes because the victims were white. I’ve been spit on by black people for being white. Never reported that. Just chased them down and shamed them myself.
As a third gen Italian American all this Christopher Columbus stuff pisses me off. We have a history here too! I don’t want it erased. Christopher Columbus symbolizes the Italian American. Columbus Day is always when the Italian festivals are. My great grandparents came here and worked and suffered just like everyone else’s. My Nanna hates what she sees going on on the tv. She’s based af and I’m proud to strive to live up to her standards. You don’t f*** with Italians!!
