There's somewhat of a horseshoe effect when it comes to anarcho-communists and anarcho-capitalists. A true propopent of each would believe in things like open borders and have a hatred of "western culture". As a matter of fact the boogeyman to the left and conservative Koch brothers are who spent a ton of money pushing open borders propaganda as it helps large businesses drive down wages. People on The Donald typically love their fellow countrymen and traditions too much and understand how detrimental open borders would be to the working class. I think a lot of users here would be a paleolibertarian or paleoconservative. Trump sits somewhere at the intersection of those and nationalist and populist.

This is exactly it. I had the added bonus of being a Cleveland fan so talk about a complete waste of time. I was dumb enough to buy into the "you gotta support your city win or lose" marketing. I've played golf this summer more than I have in years. I got some friends together to play basketball who have all given up on the NBA too. It's way more fulfilling.
For me I'm guessing it was all the advertising I was subject to growing up portraying sports as heroic. And at one point it did give me a sense of belonging or community. Just something fun to do with other people when it was actually about the sport. Now it's entirely about cultural Marxism. I don't care to be lectured about how I'm racist the whole game.
I'm honestly so thankful for all of this. I used to spend my entire life watching the NFL, NBA, and MLB. I've spent countless dollars on tickets and merchandise. I was devastated when they canceled sports in March. And then...I slowly realized my life was not different in any way. Why the fuck do I care if some multi-millionaire wins a game? Their full-throated support of Marxism just ensures I will never watch another one of their events in my life and happily spend that money on other stuff. Fuck them.
