I have lived in Boston area since about 2006. No matter how long I've been friends with the people around here you will always be an outsider. I don't know how to explain it, but it is just like that. I never quite felt part of the crew. I am a Midwestern boy, and something is OFF in New England. New England in general is gruff and rude. Yet, it has gotten meaner in the last few years and no where near as friendly as I remember. Though that could be the transient nature of the town. I will say it seems anytime I make a lasting friendship in Boston, they are usually from NH, ME or VT. While decades long friendships with Mass people have ended overnight because of Trump, the NH people don't burn bridges. Problem is VT, ME and NH are great but all the Mass people are moving there to ruin it, and then you have the drug problems up in those places. Things have gotten so bad politically here in Boston for Pedes though that after almost 15 years I am leaving this month. Its crazy how people have turned their back on us when we aren't even that outspoken and keep to ourselves. I am done with this place. Good luck!
