Yes, I know. And of course I agree with their ultimate decision to not lock down everything. But it still kinda falls in line with the whole inaction thing. It was never about preserving or protecting citizens’ freedom, rather that Tegnell and folkhälsomyndigheten already came to the conclusion that they’d accept that people would get infected and die. This decision was taken in early March when data on death rates and how dangerous it actually was, was not as available or correct as it is now. In other words they decided to not try to do anything because they thought it’d be pointless - and in hopes of reaching a hypothetical herd immunity. They used the wrong equation but ended up with the right answer.
Don’t get me wrong, I am glad they didn’t lock down - I just wish it had been out of respect for our freedom.
IMO it’s the most Sweden thing ever, it just happens to come off as based on a surface level. Just like with about every other political issue our government is too spineless and lame to dare do anything.
Mass immigration that’s bringing the entire country to the very brink of collapse? Inaction.
More people dying waiting for cancer treatment from our “utopian” healthcare system than from the cancer itself? Inaction.
IEDs and grenades going off pretty much weekly in every major city? Inaction.
Pandemic that’s threatening to “end the world”? Inaction.
Luckily, in this case the rona’ actually turned out to be a non issue and it actually ended up benefitting the people for once. Our media is still portraying it like it’s the end times though.
God I wish more people in Sweden would understand Biden and the Democrats inevitably starting more foreverwars if they ever get into office means we get r*ped by the “refugees” they’ll cause... There’d be rallies here then, I guarantee it. Unfortunately the vast majority of people just swallow the shit media puts out instead.
