My county is great. I’ve done all the things I wrote earlier (except 501c3 status is pending because the IRS is backed up). This is how to operate and train legally. Start small and gain public favor and members through community service. This IS the way.
Actually, start at the county level. The sheriff has more power then ppl think so meet them if based, bonus points for winning over the prosecutor, file for non profit status for the group, and don’t call it a militia until the opportune moment.

Former WV Guard infantryman here. We were absolutely trained for this. Relations between the staties and the guard must be great in Oregon right now lol! A lot of the time guard soldiers are LEOs/first responders in day to day life. States are all different so I don’t wanna weigh in too much, but I’d say the real reason is money and optics.

I’ve been a Bengals fan from birth.
