Has there ever been an election in which states just suddenly decided to stop counting votes on election night? Never have I hear of such events. Anyone out there know?
I was the 3rd person in line and 2nd to cast my vote today. Two people wearing face masks that said "Democrat" were trying to influence voters by handing out "guides" on how to vote. I and several others waiting chased them off because they were beyond the legal limit for solicitation. When I came out, they were back at it and the sherriff's deputy managing the line told me they had to keep chasing them back to the 200 ft. limit. If a Republican or Conservative tried that shit, they'd be spit on and called a nazi for trying to influence voters. They will try and steal this election but I still have faith we will decimate them. Red Tsunami incoming!
According to the Florida state department of health, an individual that receives 1 positive test result and 1 negative test result in the same day, is counted as a "confirmed case". If the individual is tested again the next day, and receives a positive result, it is still counted as a new result, even though it was counted the day before. Further testing on the individual that have positive results (including antibody testing) is counted as another positive case. Essentially the testing of 1 person can result in at least 3 "confirmed cases" of covid. Considering that there is a 30% chance that testing results in a false-positive but only a 3% - 5% of a false negative, the number of cases is obviously inflated. This is infuriating.

You have to download the daily report, which I actually do daily and it's located in the fine print in the statistics section, usually 3rd or 4th page
I spoke to a buddy of mine in NYC this weekend and casually mentioned that I went to the beach on Friday here in Florida. This was apparently very upsetting as I was (in his exact words) "risking my life needlessly" and "potentially killing hundreds" by going to the beach and not wearing a mask. I laughed of course, which upset him more. I said he should relax and go to the beach for the day. He told me that is impossible because he is is "too afraid of covid to get on the subway" in NYC and that he "knew too many people who've died after catching covid on the subway." This was the final straw for me and I just burst out laughing and told him that "if you have ever been on a subway in NYC, you know that it is Covid that should be afraid of the millions of other horrible diseases coating every seat". My friend was very upset by this and told me that i "shouldn't laugh" because he is "constantly in danger of dying". At that point he hung up. The sheer stupidity of this encounter is mindblowing to me.
What's your best story about stupid people and covid?
