Bill Casey was rewarded by getting Bush Sr's old job of Director of the CIA(Jan 1981). He held the position until 1987 when he made the mistake of telling his lawyers that he would testify against Bush Sr. during the Iran-Contra hearings.
Casey collapsed the night before he would testify and was rushed to the hospital with Doctors there waiting for him. They immediately decided that he needed an emergency lobotomy and they quickly removed the section of his brain that controlled his writing & speech.
