She is a horrible, horrible witness.
I want to believe shenanigans occurred, but she is a horrible interview and I dont believe anything she is saying.
I've been wrong before, ill be wrong again, and I hope I'm wrong now.
You have too much faith in some of the dumbasses we have running local polling stations. They have to match up the number of voted vs the number of votes. If the math doesn't compute, they have to retally until they find the mistake. This has to be done BEFORE votes are transported to the voting center to be tabulated. Ive seen people struggle to complete this step because they made a mistake at 8am and didn't realize it. Voters shouldn't be penalized because some dumbass poll worker let someone sign thr voter log twice.
You're not supposed to wear political clothing, but I've let it go in the past as a poll worker because who really cares? It seemed like it would be more of a stink if I put my foot down then let them quietly vote and leave. I dont think anyone even noticed. If I would have called them out everyone would have been watching then they could have said the candidates name loudly and protested and in my reasoning, that would have been much more advertisement for the candidate then words on a shirt.
I'm sort of on board with this. My signature changes constantly. And its evolved a ton from when I registered to vote 20 years ago. I wouldn't want my vote to be discarded because 45 year old me signs my name different than 18 year old me.
I hate when there are these huge percentages quoted in an article only to find out the numbers increased from 3 to 7. On a scale where millions is sig ificant. Not single digits.
I learned one thing in debate. Its that statistics mean whatever you want them to mean. Don't like a number? Change it to percentage or use rhe opposite number and put a spin on it. Make it confusing but seem overwhelming.
To speak to a pollster you have to make yourself available to pollsters.
There was a time in my life I got polled a lot. To thr point I was on the phone 2 to 3 hours a day talking to pollsters. Because I would make myself available I somehow ended up on a list and I got pitched ideas and stuff about how things were worded, etc.
Start by doing online polls and giving your info out. Pretty soon you'll be answering calls. Then you'll be part of the club.
It was tiring and I had better things to do, but I do remember how in the days after I did a poll there would be a story about what I'd answered a few days ago
Not true. Non citizens have rights.
