Meek doesn’t mean what people think it means in this context. It’s a piss poor translation of some old greek word that has no english equivalent, the definition is “one who wields power but only uses it when they must.”
Dude, they don’t have the very massive and expensive, big tech server capacity yet. It’s why they released on IOS in USA only to start. I know it sucks donkey butt but this isn’t a failed launch but a phased rollout.
Yes. I’m currently following This Day in History, Gaming is Awesome, Science Videos and Cute Animals Doing Stuff because the content is neat and to help promote a variety of topics. Right now it’s mostly political topics because that’s what’s being censored. But the more people migrate over the more topic diversity you’ll get.
Mods are human, they don’t always notice that detail. And the amount of shilling and trolling has been increasing exponentially as time goes on, a lot of what’s happened is the old mods bringing new blood on without the time to necessarily teach them everything.
Aaaand then AWS would cancel you for some BS, like what happened with Parler. Even if you aren’t conservative or libertarian oriented, if you’re not part of the upper elite and constitute a threat to Twitter or Facebook they’d likely do it. At this point in time no new social media can rely on renting infrastructure for any reason.

Lots of people with asian DNA age gracefully until they hit a certain age, then they fall apart, at least aesthetically, hard!
Nope, you can post videos and pics on it. Not just messages. As for why not peer-to-peer I can’t tell you why exactly. My hunch is the tech isn’t as refined and known so Truth would have had a massive setback trying to setup that way in terms of time, money and launch state. It might also be the raw volume of data being a big problem, perhaps peer to peer might cause continuity issues without really intensive R&D.
Dude, as a gamer and having talked to knowledgable people I can tell you that A) the number of servers needed for something like this is beyond huge and wouldn’t be cheap.
B) Chips of any kind are no longer cheap nor widely available thanks to scamdemic logistics, a business friend said a chip they’d used for years was suddenly 10x then eventually 100x the original cost and they’d couldn’t even get enough so they had to redesign their chip board just for that. But of course that wasn’t the only chip with that problem. There’s a reason the local Best Buy has a sign that says “don’t even ask about Xboxes or Playstations, use our website”.
C) Big Tech only makes these kinds of sites, simple or not, look easy because once they find back end code that works they just copy + paste and rely on their massive existing server farms. Any not Big Tech group has to spend all the same time and money Silicon Valley has to get caught up, the only caveat being that some general knowledge has made it’s way out there so these groups aren’t having to do all of this from total scratch.
