I agree all the way up to the not using Jesus' name. I use his name everytime I pray. I say "Jesus Christ" when I'm talking about Him. Heck, half the songs the children learn say Jesus, (i.e., "I'm trying to be like Jesus", "Jesus wants me for a sunbeam", "Jesus said love everyone", etc.).

Actually, several others saw the "tablets" you're referring to and even after some of them left the church, not one of them ever denied them. We could do this all night, but it's Christmas so I'm just going to say Merry Christmas and I'm thankful that we all live in a country where we can worship how we please. I truly hope your season has been great and hopefully we can stop this sham of an election.

Can you show me where it teaches that? I'm confused. You probably know more on the subject than someone who has practiced it for decades, so please enlighten me.
I realize it differs, but I respect everyone's right to worship and feel others should too. The point of the story was to point out that I was taken aback by a full band in church. It wasn't something I was used to and everyone else was unshaved. Probably a bad example.

You should visit an LDS church someday. Very traditional-like singing hymns to an organ traditional. I grew up going to the LDS church and once went to my friends general Christian church and it was a bit of a shock when the full live band started playing and rocking out about Jesus. I really didn't know what I was supposed to do as it seemed like two opposite ends of a spectrum at once. Don't get me wrong, people can worship how they want, I just laugh at myself sometimes thinking about how shocked it made me. I've heard the same about people who come to my church though- "It's SO old fashioned!"

I'm trying to be excited about all the breaking news but the past few days I've felt hopeless about it all. I'm not hopeless about the president's abilities, but hopeless because nothing will be done about all this shit thats going on. He's trying so hard to fight the swamp, but it seems like he's drowning in it and anyone who can help him is too corrupt and refuses to. How does this end? How can it be more clear that he won and yet all the people who can do a damn thing about it are sabotaging it?
