Correct! I would often direct ads to a specific sub page with low traffic. When I got the “we sent 5000 viewers to your site” but then saw a 98% bounce rate I knew it was bullshit.
The only reason they can demand the dollars for ad revenue is because of their “reach”. Every less account helps. You’re doing your part and it helps!
You’re going to have the best bet connecting with a media buyer. They will likely be able to secure lower rates than you could and they will be able to help you track effectiveness.
20 years in marketing/advertising. What type of business are you trying to push? There are ways to buy ad media targeting key areas/demographics and push ads through on other sites where you can pay either cpc or per view.
Because it allows them to bypass all accountability.
