MSM has become (or maybe has been for awhile) the McDonalds dollar menu of News/Current Events for shaping public thought and opinion. The problem is that it is quick, easy, and convenient. As humans, we are inherently "lazy", it is a evolutionary trait which has done us well (expend minimal energy). However it is also our demise... It is much easier to watch Harry Potter movies then to have the discipline to read the books... would you agree? Society is predictable, this is why misinformation and lies are so easy to pull off. Houdini ain't got nothing on the US media.

For context, if you went to a car dealership, would you 100% trust the salesman to just draft your paperwork and give you the best deal possible? Or...Do you suspect he/she may take advantage of you, so you should put up some defenses, research, and be suspicious that they might NOT have your best interests at mind? The difference may lead to substantial better dealings. It is the same situation with News and Politics. We have to work for it, or else were just being takin advantage of, and manipulated for someone else's gain.

Ask yourself this...Who's ads play during commercial break? Is it a new medication by chance? ( President Trump has been waging war on medication price gouging, and monopolies ). These are some of the biggest lobbyist in America, and represents just one of MANY.

This community seems like a pretty intelligent group. I am in the business of research (STEM related) and my mind is geared towards connecting dots, and solving problems. So here is something i have been holding on to for the past 4 years.

We all know the left has one thing in common, they get inexplicably angry, and confrontational when presented with differing views or opinions.

Is this an organic trait of leftist? Their so called moral superiority? Or is there possibly a more scientific explanation. One can easily contrast early 2000's democrat/leftist. But only when smart phones, an obvious bias msm, and (lets not forget) internet/social media became more contagious than covid (pun), did it become common for people to come off the rails at the snap of a finger.

Whats my point? Well, I have my own theory that this is not the majority of Americans. I believe this number to be only in the lower 30% range. These are persons who have this new found passion/trait to act bipolar due to the presence of a red hat, or to roll their eyes at someone because they are caucasian, and therefore their opinion and voice no longer matters. There are obviously much more examples, but i am sure you get the point.

So what is the significance of this 30% figure? It turns out, I recalled from my psychology course I had to take while pursuing my degree, a section on hypnotism. I was completely unaware that it was a real thing. Turns out, not only is it real. But it is extremely effective, yet the text book concluded the "mechanism" by which it worked could not be explained at the time of the publishing, only theories. But they did explain that the success rate for adults is in fact 10-15% (highly hypnotizable). It is believed, at least what information read into, through curiosity They went on to explain studies show that 60-79% of adults are low to moderately hypnotizable, and clearly 30% do not respond at all to hypnotism.

Hypnotism does not require a pendulum, it can be done through any medium which the person reaches a state of relaxation and vulnerability. To many of us here, TV, and other media/ streaming content is so disgusting to watch. Constant repeating narratives, shaming, new normals... Just look how many people buy into it. Even I myself have to shake it off.

Couple that with mixed , and mostly fake social media accounts of "seemingly" fellow Americans constantly harassing our POTUS on twitter, or anyone else that supports our constitution. This probably creates a breeding ground for what we are seeing, and how this situation seems to be getting more out of control, as quickly as it came. Just look how so many media companies are going broke. Perhaps they did not expect to sustain such a bias propaganda war for so long.
