Does it say your name on the mail? I'm moving residences within this city at the end if the month so I might strategically time it so that I'm not living here anymore after I get what I need

Also, not living in fear but I'm subletting under the table short term, don't need to piss anyone off

I was disputing your comment about Atlanta attracting Silicon Valley tech talent. Where we may have had a misunderstanding is that I somewhat interpreted it as you saying caliber, and you meant it as literally.

The claim that people in Silicon Valley are eager to move to work in Atlanta, I agree with you there. Not happening. I also agree that most people from Silicon Valley probably would prefer to stay there. But the large growth of tech companies in Atlanta especially due to the presence of GT is undoubtedly going to draw some people from Silicon Valley, especially when those companies are building Atlanta offices. This article spells it out a little bit even though it is mostly opinion, also there are some good numbers in there too.

https://www.americaninno.com/atlanta/from-the-community-atlanta/why-atlanta-is-the-next-great-tech-hub/

Most of what I found on people moving to Atlanta is talking about blacks, and I definitely agree that it doesn't support the argument.

Regardless, you didn't even try to clarify anything or make any progress in the conversation before calling me a butthurt alumnus. That shifted the conversation towards the school itself and not towards the claim you were disputing. From that perspective, you were being ignorant. However, I don't really care to dwell on this because I do agree with a lot of your points, regarding the west vs the south (also being someone who has lived in both, preferring the west for the same reasons). For the record, I'm not female.

California progressives don't WANT to live in the south, I agree with you there. Are some moving there? Inevitably yes because Georgia Tech's presence is bringing many tech companies to the area (including those from Silicon Valley) and the cost of living is significantly better in a city that is still liberal enough for them, for the most part. There's few if any articles about it because there isn't some mass exodus to the south, but it's kind of inevitable to a degree.

We're probably on the same page with a lot of things, and I don't mean to disrespect; there was a bit of a misunderstanding on my part in the first place, and while I am agreeing with your claim to a large degree, I think you're also missing part of the picture.

Bullshit. I'm on the oldest end of gen Z and I know an extremely small amount of conservatives my age or younger.

That being said most of my social circle is made up of people nearly graduating college or recently graduated so if colleges are truly overwhemingly marxist indoctrination camps, then there is no way anecdotally that I'd be able to see this.

In any case, I hope that you're right.

You actually might be retarded. You made a sarcastic response to the original comment, and literally looking it up, the first thing that comes up is this:

https://www.ajc.com/news/local/georgia-tech-grads-make-chunk-silicon-valley-employees-more-than-any-ivy-league-schools/BcSJPlkGXujTqj3kKuToaI/

Clearly, there are 3 schools based out of California that send more people to Silicon Valley, but for a school on the opposite side of the country, being #6 in terms of sending people to Silicon Valley is 100% being a magnet for Silicon Valley tech talent.

Now, I'm sure you're sitting there and thinking, "wow, this guy is dumb, I'm talking about companies near Georgia Tech pulling from Silicon Valley employees", well first of all, your criticism is Georgia Tech being a magnet for Silicon Valley talent, and obviously the school itself isn't taking in employees from private industry because it's a school, not a company, so we have to look at the opposite direction, which is how many people are sent to Silicon Valley from there, which I already proved to you. In addition, there aren't really good statistics on how many people move from Silicon Valley to Atlanta, but there is evidence in the growing number of Silicon Valley/Tech companies expanding in Atlanta.

https://www.11alive.com/article/money/google-breaks-ground-new-southeastern-hq-midtown-atlanta/85-3e1bf976-2d76-4034-a945-37b52cb41b60

https://businessfacilities.com/2020/05/microsoft-adding-1500-new-jobs-in-atlanta-georgia/

TL;DR: Tons of expansion is happening in Atlanta for Tech jobs. Tons of people from Georgia Tech go to Silicon Valley. You're still choosing to be ignorant.

My bad, forgot to mention the part where many others were recruited just as hard by Silicon Valley. Not to mention the decent amount of people I knew there that were from that area. You still haven't proven otherwise.

You sound like a liberal. Whining because you can't accept reality. I've been recruited harder than most college grads. You're ignorant. Sorry man.

Shouldn't stop having elections, but others have floated the idea that owning property of something of the sort being a requirement

Lol, I went to Georgia Tech and you're ignorant if you don't think it attracts major Silicon Valley talent

From my understanding it's usually the other way around. If they're a tropical storm when they hit, they don't get any stronger.

Disclaimer: I asked because I didn't even know this was happening, and maybe it's far enough out that it could become a hurricane, but it's probably along the chances of dying of Covid (wild ass guess)

Why the fuck does anyone care about a tropical storm? Is this seriously the bullshit they're fearmongering over today?

The implication of the comment is that race relations would improve if most non-whites died tomorrow. Objectively this is probably true, but it's getting downvoted because we don't have an issue with non-whites, we have an issue with dems and shitty ideologies. The comment is making it about race.

Not too worried, I got time :)

Just realized you're the same person I'm replying to on that other comment. Just want to say you seem like a super awesome person and I hope good things come to you.

Oh for sure, idc if someone doesn't agree with me as long as we can hug it out at the end and these guys were like that. I've only lost one good friend because of it and she has her own issues to sort out so I'll probably rekindle that once shit settles down.

My strategy is to just live an admirable life and show people that Trump supporters are good people. I'm not the best at debating but I'm good at playing devil's advocate, so I play things off that way.

I was never the kind of person to cave to social pressure and I've always been very individual in terms of being indepedent and also liking whatever the hell I want to like which is why it's so easy for me to see through the leftie bullshit. Haha, sounds like a dream - I'd definitely be happy to have a based woman in my life and I'm happy for you man.
