Yeah, I've been taking the prayer request posts more seriously, even before I heard about my aunt. It's so easy for me to just be angry when looking at the wall of posts about corruption in our beloved country, but I've been trying to pause for at least a bit when I see a prayer request and participate.

Because the NY case was on a measure that had already expired. So when Cuomo said it didn't apply, he was right (in the eyes of the courts and the law) because they have moved on to a NEW executive order. Our SCOTUS is full of pussies and they won't look at or rule on anything that might be actually controversial or influential.

To Jenna's point though, there WAS a case that went to the Supreme Court (I believe about mail-in ballot fraud potential) and Roberts kicked the case back to the lower court because there hadn't been any fraud yet. Gotta let the fraud happen so that you have standing to bring the case before them so that they can tell you you should have brought the case to them before the fraud happened if you really cared so much.

Isn't this the one that got dismissed on lack of "standing"? Basically the court saying "It doesn't matter if what you allege in your suit is true or not, but you as the party suing are not the victim here, so you can't sue." The idea being that if Steve robs Jerry, Steve could sue Jerry, but Steve's buddy Bob can't sue on behalf of Steve.
I'm not saying that's how the court SHOULD see it this way, I'm just saying that the SCOTUS might see it that way also. Let's hope not.
