I hate, hate, hate being right about this, too, but I refuse to just blindly follow a crowd or person. At some point, people need to be called out for their bullshit, even Trump. I was just telling someone yesterday how pissed off and frustrated I was when Hussein was POTUS. The riots, looting and burning of cities was common, and allowed. Guess what happened under Trump? Same. Damn. Thing. I've come to the realization that it's not worth caring about. It's not healthy to be pissed off and angry all the time, especially over things we can change.
Exactly how I feel. I do care about who currently wins, but that's small fish. Election integrity is the big picture. Without that, we have nothing. We don't have a country...at least not the country the Founding Fathers created.
I doubt Pence even has the power to do what Trump wants, but what do I know. Even if he did, would he do it? Probably not. My point is the same thing I've been saying for weeks. Unless Trump takes some drastic action, we're fucked.
We basically got screwed by EVERYONE. The courts screwed us, the legislatures screwed us, the Turtle is trying to screw us, Trump's closest people screwed him. Who's left? Kayleigh?
I think a few things need to happen. First, there needs to be a new party. I suspect a lot of us are fed up with the GOP and their bullshit. Trump started the MAGA movement, and a MAGA party is how it lives on. The Republicans who believe in it should join us; the rest can GTFO. Second, if the worst comes true, and we don't turn this thing around, then the dems have 2-4 years to fuck up things so badly maybe even the libs will come to their senses and stop voting for them (fat chance, I know). The masses do have very short memories.
The biggest problem is our elections. I don't believe they are free and fair anymore. We need election reform, voter ID and no more of this mail-in bullshit.
