Our oldest was actually adopted two years ago! She was 12 on her "gotcha" day. It can be hard for older kids to get adopted (healthy white infant - take away one of those three and their chances of adoption go doooooown.)

Not at all! We decided that adoption is the best route. The foster care system has many flaws, and those kids need homes. Why make one from scratch when there are so many kids?

Yes, but I own a small company and we're very fortunate to be able to take care of all of them.
We decided to not have any biological children (all of our children are "children of our own" - biology has nothing to do with it.)
I highly recommend it. It's rewarding.
