Those are practice leadership roles designed specifically to prepare kids for actual leadership roles later in life (managing work places, teaching, etc. At no point did I mention Navy). If you can’t understand that, I can’t think for you.
I don’t think you are understanding how addiction works. An addicted person is not equivocal metaphorically to farmer/plow.
Should we have zero treatment for drug addicts? Or should they have to ‘deal with it’ themselves because they should have known better?
What you are doing is victim blaming and assuming that everyone deserves the hand they are dealt. What about the 5 year old kid who’s iPad isn’t regulated that becomes addicted to games? Should he have known better? The way you frame your response indicates you think the issue is very linear and applies to a very small group of people who should “know better”, and I think that view is narrow minded and frankly wrong.
