This is important. ANY time from here on out when 'Elliot' Page cant keep her opinions to herself on some SJW bollocks we should be there, ready to reply with:
"Yikes, maybe a white man should take a step back on this one" "Really the best person to tell us about [issue] is a white man?" "Do we really need a white man try and take charge on [issue]? Isn't that how we got here in the first place?"
I think you get the gist and what the angle is here. Godspeed, Pede.
Journalists have become lazy. When all you report on is what you get from Press Releases, you're not a journalist, you're in Public Relations. Further, a lot of corporations and agencies will perform a 'limited hangout'. Give the 'journalists' something mildly incriminating to report on to distract and keep them from digging into or even finding the real story. 'Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain'.
Another real important thing to consider is media conglomerations - Every channel you see on cable is ultimately owned by one of six companies (as of a couple years ago - may be out of date). Nearly every radio station is owned by Clear Channel/I Heart Media. That's the reason there's no difference between the Hot New Single and Pepsi Ads' Commercial Jingles. They're increasingly buying up talk radio on the AM band as well.
Even your local newscast really isn't - they get a script from corporate with the same cheesy little throwaway jokes to 'humanize' them. Personally I find it has the opposite effect. A very notable example of this is the whole "This is Dangerous to our Democracy" video I'm sure many here have seen. This is also referred to as 'Sinclair's Script for Stations' as company that probably owns your local newscast is Sinclair Broadcasting.
To any who haven't seen that: https://www.bitchute.com/video/3zFWuF8pW9od/
And don't forget about the power of cooperation - the Military Industrial Complex loves to be painted in a favorable light. When Independence Day (The original, not the regurgitation) was being filmed the Pentagon actually approached the film makers and told them they loved the script, loved the way the Military and President were portrayed etc, and that they would love to help with the production of it by allowing them to use various planes and other taxpayer funded toys at no cost - so long as they removed all references to 'Area 51' from the movie. So don't only focus on the Stick (Blackmail Threats etc) often times folks are offered some juicy Carrots to make themselves mouthpieces.
TL/DR: To top all of this off - and more to your post in hindsight - check out "Operation: Mockingbird" by our friends in Langley. All of these factors interact and combine.
Don't neglect archive sites. Waybackmachine is compromised but
ARCHIVE.IS is pretty good
The reason is twofold:
- Prevent things from being memory holed. Dont let legacy media gaslight us.
- Deprive them of ad revenue and clicks.
Archiving should be standard operating procedure for any pede worth their salt. Any time you post a thread or comment, you should be archiving your links.
