This brings back memories of what news used to be. I used to be able to tolerate it. I'm not even that damn old. Blows me away how much things have changed in just my lifetime.

Have a link to this data? I can't find it on the CDC site.

Soooo I am confused. Are you suggesting that they should not start working again because not they are rusty? Or They should start work just not on you? If your knee replacement isn't necessary and you are fine with putting it off, then I am sure there are people who are in more need.

Because it de-legitimizes their own fears. They know they will be made to feel ridiculous when a mass of people go out and enjoy life and nothing bad happens. They also have a bit of the FOMA -- fear going out but don't want to miss out on anything that freedom gives us. Just my guesses.

This was going to be my reply. Just let her wear the mask. At this point she believes that mask is keeping her safe. As more and more people stop taking such drastic measures yet continue to be just fine, they will come around and so will she.

Don't take this the wrong way -- I am just curious. Before you had said that you had 50 cases, 4 had passed but the rest were mostly recovered. So in the last 10ish days, you have lost another 6 Pts that were considered mostly recovered?

I wonder if "Funding Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences Emergency Project of COVID-19, National Key Research and Development Program of China, the Beijing Science and Technology Project." has anything to do with that?

Stop looking for a reason to be offended.

Need to stop operating in emotion and start operating in fact and logic. We have generations of people who were taught from a young age to ignore facts and base their lives on how something feels. Not just an issue with this virus.

Why are they washing up on shore? They got sick and decided to jump in the ocean? Can someone explain that to me?

Interesting. I have asked that of a few people IRL as well and the answer is mostly the same. I am curious about stuff like that as I ask myself internally the same questions. I also found that fear is a poor motivator because as soon as the fear is gone, so is the motivation. Easy to exercise more, eat healthier, improve myself when I was afraid. Sticking to those routines as I become less afraid has been challenging.

I have read your post history. Have been watching you comments on and off for about a month as you seemed to a have a very similar view to my own at first. I am curious if you have read your own comments from about a month back. You were completely frantic at several points -- so frantic that you started tossing out insults about people who disagreed with you. I cant say that I wasn't also stressed and concerned at the time. But... I am curious what it was that made you change your tone now -- calm, less frantic, reasonable, etc.

I am OK with it as long as I have a choice to take the test or not. I fear that is not the direction they want to head; but, fear is just an emotion and I don't want to operate in emotion.

ha ha ha "Senate Minority Whip Dick Durbin (D-IL)". I had to pause and laugh at Whip Dick. I am so immature. OK... back to reading.

That's the way that I saw it as well -- a back up treatment. Also, if what I am reading is not bullshit, this works on cases that have progressed past the paint where HCQ becomes less effective. I am a proponent of HCQ myself but I don't mind if there are alternatives out there as long as I, along with my doctor, have the freedom to make a choice in what treatment to use -- I am fortunate to have a great doctor.

Good points. I don't think any reasonable human can argue with that

You are correct. That is not what he said at all. I think that is why I was having a hard time with the 2-3% thing -- because he didn't say 2-3% OF CHILDREN.

I missed info where are we getting 2-3% of children thing? What classifies a child in the 2-3%?

Just based on what I think I understand from the article, it looks like what he is implying is that it is per area or country. For example, USA would be 40 days to peak and 70 days until it fizzles out. Not sure if I buy it or not -- I want to believe it though.
