Possibly controversial take, but by pursuing the presidency he should have realised that, if it came to it, he should be putting the integrity of the Republic above his and his family’s future personal safety. And have been willing to go completely scorched earth if necessary (and it is necessary).
Because this time, maybe, finally, the courts will do what is right.
I support well-planned, rationally-based violence with a purpose. Like Lexington, Concord, any number of other righteous examples and, God forbid, something that may have to happen soon.

Possibly the best example: Patrick Ferguson up in a tree with one of his breechloading rifles with good ol’G.W. on horseback in his sights. He felt it would have been ungentlemanly to shoot. The modern GOP seems like the political equivalent of that.
