Being an IT guy myself (full stack guy) I can really appreciate the time, money, effort, and huge risk from our politics that you all have put forth.

All that said, you are right, tho, ultimately anyone at the top could, and likely will, do something the masses, or minority may not like.
Oddly enough Twitter is actually looking to make a decentralized version of it. While I dont know the details and I remain highly skeptical, thats really the only way I see it being possible to prevent that issue. The only way for everyone to have control is for no one to have control (decentralization). And that goes for all social media platforms. There are plenty of issues still to be solved and they arent even technical. E.g. what happens if they post a naked picture of you? That shit is forever and no one can take it down. Just 1 example, but you can see how it solves and creates a problem.

I get your skepticism but i have personally talked with andrew torba back in 2016 and this guy is legit based. Hes been fighting with SV way before any of us even realized what was going on. He said "ive been screaming this for years. Now you guys finally see.". After talking with him twice via phone, i am convinced 1000% he is the real deal and will fight as hard as the rest of us. The rest of his work speaks for itself. Make no mistake, andrew torba is based af.
